Product Liability
Spectrum Retail's sole obligation to customers for products that prove to be defective within 90 days of purchase is to replace the product or refund the purchase price. Spectrum Retail gives no warranty, either expressed or implied, and specifically disclaims all other warranties, including warranties for merchantability and fitness. In no event shall Spectrum Retail's liability exceed the buyer's purchase price, nor shall Spectrum Retail be liable for any indirect or consequential damages.
This warranty does not apply to products which have been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or modification, or for any other reason are not capable of being tested.
Prices/Quantities
The SpectR (Spectrum Retail) web site is primarily designed to serve customers in greater Europe and all pricing is quoted in Euros and GBP. Pricing is fixed to the HMCE exchange rates at the beginning of each month. Orders placed by customers located outside greater Europe are welcome but sums converted into other currancies must be be considered a guide only, as the final sum charged to a purchaser's credit card will depend on the exchange rate prevailing when the transaction is finalised, and the exchange rate and charges applied by the purchaser's credit card provider.
Spectrum-Retail.com makes every effort to present current and accurate stock level indications. However, quantities available for immediate shipment may be limited. .
Value Added Tax
The prevailing rate of United Kingdom VAT will be added to the invoice at the time of transaction unless;
(i) the customer places the order from a country outside the United Kingdom but inside the EEC for delivery to a country inside the EEC, and provides a valid VAT number at time of order, or
(ii) the customer places the order from a country outside the EEC, for delivery to a country outside the EEC.
Shipment
All orders are shipped either from stock, or occasionally from a manufacturer's Distribution Centre in Europe or elsewhere. All duties and brokerage fees are prepaid.
All orders for delivery in the UK are shipped via Royal Mail Special Delivery. Orders for overseas delivery are shipped via Royal Mail's International Signed For service. Spectrum Retail is also able to ship via a customer's prefered courier on receipt of details and the account number. Carrier issues and holiday delays are a fact of life. Under no circumstances will Spectrum Retail accept responsibility for delays beyond our direct control
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are calculated according to the weight and volume of the consignment but the minimum shipping charge is 8.5 GBP. The shipping charge will be included on the invoice, is subject to VAT. and will be included in the sum debited to the purchase's credit/debit card. No charge will be made for shippments made by a customers own carrier service.
Payment
Experience has shown that payment by credit/debit card over a SSL encrypted link is the quickest and most convenient of way of making a purchase on the Spectrum Retail website. In exceptional circumstance we might offer suitably qualified businesses and institutions a Net 30 day credit account. Out of Stock
You will be advised if product you wish to purchase is out of stock at the time of order placement and provided with a "best" indication of the projected shipping date. If you elect to continue with the purchase process, your order is accepted without guarantee of a particular shipping date and with no acceptance of liability for consequential loss.
Returns Policy
Spectrum Retail will accept merchandise returns but only in strict accordance with the terms and conditions outlined below and, at your option, will replace the product or credit your credit-card account.
To facilitate processing of returned merchandise:
- A Returned Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number must be obtained from Spectrum Retail prior to returning product. Please request this from Spectrum Retail, using the details provided under the Contact Us menu, and state a brief explanation of the reason for the return.
- All returns should be made within 7 days of date of delivery invoice and be accompanied by the original invoice number.
- Return freight charge must be prepaid. Spectrum Retail cannot accept C.O.D. returns. We will refund the return shipping charge to the appropriate credit card only if we are able to confirm that an item is faulty or sustained damaged in transit.
- Returned merchandise must be in original packaging and in resalable condition.
Damaged Goods If you receive merchandise from Spectrum Retail that exhibits damaged in transit, it is important to sign the delivery note accordingly and keep the shipping carton, packing material and parts intact. Please contact Spectrum Retail without delay, using the details provided below, and under the Contact Us menu. Spectrum Retail is unable to entertain any claims for refund or replacement due to damage in transit after 30 days from date of invoice.
